Walgreens rolls out its Wellness Carpet in Dallas

Drugstore Chain honors its commitment to diversity during a Walgreens Community Corner Showcase of Hispanic vendor partners and their wellness products while giving health screenings, beauty tips and free giveaways to shoppers

DEERFIELD, IL August 8, 2012 – Walgreens (NYSE, NASDAQ: WAG), will shine the spotlight on Hispanic products sold in its Dallas market stores during an upcoming store showcase known as Walgreens Community Corner. Taking place at Walgreens, 438 West Illinois Avenue, Dallas, TX, August 10, 2012, 2pm-6pm, this Community Corner promises to be one of the chain’s largest as it has also partnered with the producers of Latino Fashion Week who is sponsoring a no purchase necessary random drawing whereby the grand prize winner will receive Free! Walgreens Well Experience Health Screening Package, a $65 value, plus VIP Tickets to Latino Fashion week in Dallas held the following weekend and an all-expense paid trip for 2 Latino Fashion Week’s Chicago event in October for a full weekend of beauty and wellness.

Adding to the excitement, during the event, every shopper entering the store at 438 W. Illinois Avenue, Dallas, TX, will be eligible to win free Gift Card towards purchase in a random drawing happening every half hour.  Spanish speaking Pharmacists will be on hand conducting diabetic assessments, checking Blood Pressure, and BMI.  Univision’s 99.1 FM and 107.9 FM will be on site for a live radio remote.   Vendor partners will be giving free product samples while supplies last.  Top Hispanic-owned vendor partners include:

  • Maximus Coffee, supplier of Walgreens Nice™ brand coffee
