City of Dallas to celebrate Cinco de Mayo

The City of Dallas will celebrate Cinco de Mayo with music, dance and food. Councilmembers will recognize the contributions of Hispanic inventors, scientists, architects, and artists. Live music by Univisión Radio La Que Buena 94.1 and food trucks will be offering a Mexican food menu.

Participants in this event include:
–    Mayor Mike Rawlings
–    Mayor Pro Tem Pauline Medrano, District 2
–    Councilmember Delia Jasso, District 1
–    Councilmember Mónica R. Alonzo, District 6
–    Anita Martinez Ballet Folklórico
–    Univision TV Channel 23
–    Univisión Radio La Que Buena 94.1
–    Molina High School Latino Acoustic Ensemble
–    Molina High School Mariachi

This year’s Cinco de Mayo Celebration will take place at Dallas City Hall, City Hall First Floor Main Lobby, 1500 Marilla Street 
at 12 p.m., Wednesday, May 2, 2012.
