Movida Boutique will celebrate their 10th year in business at Mockingbird Station in mid-town Dallas this December. In the world of Dallas fashion, Movida Boutique is often referred to as a fashionista’s playground, offering runway looks at affordable prices. Movida’s creative identity caters to those who shape and determine the latest fashion trends in the Dallas area, be it the hip and fun styles for daywear or the sleek party styles of the night. Since most items are priced below $100, Movida Boutique has become a weekly destination spot for many Dallas fashionistas. Owner and entrepreneur Gladys Contreras, one of the founding pioneers of Mockingbird Station, envisioned not only creating a world-class boutique but a destination location for all Dallasites seeking a fashion oasis.

“It seems like yesterday when I began writing my business plan. I can’t believe 10 years has flown by so fast. I wouldn’t be where I am today without the support and loyalty from my customers, friends and family. I look forward to another successful 10 years. ” said Ms. Contreras.

Movida will celebrate this milestone by giving back, not only to their loyal customers but also to the surrounding community. On Friday, December 9, 2011, they will host a party and celebration for their customers that will include door prizes, music, a fashion show, hors ‘d oeuvres, and drinks. A portion of sales from the evening will be donated to Attitudes & Attire TM, a non-profit agency that helps benefit women by offering job training and addressing the self-esteem tools necessary for women to stay motivated and confident while meeting the needs of their families and workplace demands.
